“RanchOn’s core mission is to optimize and enable family-owned Agribusiness growth.“
RanchOn builds remote monitoring tools that help family-owned farms and ranches manage water for livestock. By providing real-time visibility into what’s happening with tanks and troughs, RanchOn takes the guesswork out of water management — so you can spend less time worrying and more time ranching.
The Team

Mark Muñoz, co-founder
For over six decades, Mark’s family has been dedicated to raising cattle in West Texas, carrying on a tradition built on grit, stewardship, and pride in the land. Mark was born and raised in that same West Texas environment, growing up surrounded by the day-to-day realities of ranch life and the values it teaches. The challenges of water scarcity are more prevalent throughout this area. Those experiences laid the foundation for his future, both personally and professionally.
Mark went on to attend and graduate from Texas A&M University, where he further developed the knowledge and perspective that continue to guide him as he helps carry his family’s ranching legacy forward.
Christopher Lewis, co-founder
Christopher Lewis grew up in Sweetwater, Texas — ranch country, where water isn’t taken for granted. As a career engineer, he spent 15 years designing wastewater treatment plants, developing a deep respect for how hard it is to manage water reliably in remote areas where problems can go unnoticed for too long.
When Christopher connected with Mark, an active rancher who knew these frustrations firsthand, the two joined forces. Together they built what the ag community had been missing — remote water monitoring tools that help ranchers ranch more and worry less.
When he’s not working on RanchOn, Christopher is spending time with family and friends — or on the tennis court.

Bill VW, Software Guru
Bill came to the agricultural tech world the long way round, raised outside New York City, far away from open sky or farmland. He started his career working on environmental and water quality sensors and laboratory equipment and later agricultural equipment monitoring systems, mobile security systems and web applications.
After trading Brooklyn for Austin, Bill crossed paths with Christopher the way so many good partnerships start — on the sidelines of a school soccer match. What began as casual advice on software architecture for RanchOn over a beer grew into something he couldn’t walk away from. With a background spanning ag tech, communications and sensor technology as well as experience in start-ups and other industries, Bill brings the kind of versatile engineering instinct that turns hard problems into clean solutions.
When he’s not building for RanchOn, Bill is making music, finding a trail to ride, or convincing his family to go camping somewhere out under the Texas stars.
